Who am I?
My name is Jamaica S. Margarito, currently a Grade 12 Senior High School student of Philippine Christian University - Dasmarinas.Everyone who knows me probably agree that I am a not-so-approachable and sociable person for some reasons. Despite that, I still know how to enjoy things and live my life to the fullest.
Hi, everyone. You can call me "Mai". I am a 17 year-old kid who is still trying to figure out and know herself more. There are things I would love to share to you about myself that you could probably learn from my experiences.
I was a volleyball player since Grade 6 until Grade 10. I was actually the team captain of the Women's Volleyball Team of my former school Bulihan National High School. I was so passionate in playing that I am only seen in our home when it's time to sleep.
Whenever I'm not in the mood to deal with people, I bond with my guitar. I started learning to play the guitar when I was in Grade 7. I could say that learning an instrument is probably one of the best feeling and one of the best thing I have ever done.
But then, for some reasons, I lost my interest with the things I was passionate about.

What am I made of?
Just like most of the people nowadays, I also went through the phase wherein I feel like I'm trapped somewhere in a dark place. I stopped doing the things that makes me feel alive.
But then, as time passed by, I realized that it taught me to appreciate more things outside my comfort zone. It taught me more about myself.

NEW ME
I really loved dogs but things have changed when I met Hans, my cat. She is probably the best buddy I've ever had. She's just like me; a picky eater. She doesn't like fish or pork, just chicken. Sometimes she would ignore her food and stare at us as if asking if there are more food other than what is served.
I was able to travel to the different beaches in Palawan. Nothing could ever describe the fulfillment I felt when I was able to conquer my fear.
Though I lost my interest in playing volleyball, I gave it another shot to boost my confidence up again.
Fortunately, we became the Champion during the Intramurals 2019 in our school.
I felt the excitement again and the feeling of being alive, and that, I could say that it was really my home.
She is indeed my spirit animal.

I was afraid of getting close to beaches. I am someone you would see only on the shallow part of the beach or just near the seaside playing the sand. But sometimes it's not bad to face what scares you and that's what I did.
I was able to travel to the different beaches in Palawan. Nothing could ever describe the fulfillment I felt when I was able to conquer my fear.

| Women's League Lan Tournament I was a really silent person but then I found another home in playing online games. Here, I met a lot of friends online. I learned to socialize and involve myself with other people's lives. I became the team captain of our team called Vicious Kittens in Rules of Survival.  I found a family who accepts me wholeheartedly and treats me just like how I want to be treated; with respect. MEI learned a lot about myself over this past few years. I had so much regret especially in letting go of the things I loved doing that's why I swore to myself that I will never let it happen again. Up until now, I still think of how I could've been if I continued my passions.But still, it was a great lesson I will forever hold onto. It molded me and made me who I am today. |
